Author Biography

Ray Bradbury has published some 500 short stories, novels, plays, and poems since his first story appeared in Weird Tales when he was twenty years old. For several years, he wrote for Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Twilight Zone, and in 1953 he wrote the screenplay for John Huston's Moby Dick. From 1985 to 1992, he adapted his stories for his own half-hour show on cable television's USA Network. The National Book Foundation, in 2000, awarded their Gold Medal to Ray Bradbury for his contribution to American literature. He lives in Los Angeles, California. - (Simon and Schuster)
